The science

Why 308 nm is the sweet spot for inflammatory skin disease

The xenon-chloride excimer laser emits monochromatic 308 nm ultraviolet light — squarely in the therapeutic UVB window, delivered only where disease lives. Targeted phototherapy means higher doses to lesions, less exposure to healthy skin, and fewer treatments to clearance than whole-body narrowband UVB.

Why it matters clinically: 308 nm photons induce T-cell apoptosis in psoriatic plaques and stimulate melanocyte activity in vitiligo — with a spot-targeted beam, surrounding healthy skin stays out of the exposure equation. That allows supra-erythemogenic dosing and faster clearance.

I come to your practice or arrange shipping for bench repair. Component-level work — not just board swapping — keeps costs sane.

STEP 4 Verify, calibrate, document
